1. Our commitment
AdPiece, operated by Skypiea Tech Co. ("AdPiece", "we", "us"), is an advertising technology provider. We are committed to protecting the privacy of individuals in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and to processing personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws.
2. Our role
In the delivery and measurement of digital advertising, AdPiece may act as a data controller or as a data processor depending on the context. Where we determine the purposes and means of processing, we act as a controller. Where we process data on behalf of our publisher and advertiser partners under their instructions, we act as a processor.
3. Personal data we process
To provide advertising services we may process the following categories of data:
- Online identifiers such as cookie IDs, mobile advertising identifiers (e.g. IDFA, GAID) and device identifiers;
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, device type and language settings;
- Advertising interaction data such as ad impressions, clicks, conversions and viewability;
- Approximate (non-precise) location derived from IP address;
- Consent signals transmitted through recognised frameworks (e.g. IAB Transparency & Consent Framework).
We do not seek to collect data that directly identifies you by name, and we do not knowingly process special categories of personal data.
4. Purposes and legal bases
- Consent — for personalised advertising, ad targeting and the storing or reading of information on a device, we rely on the consent obtained through our partners' consent management platforms.
- Legitimate interests — for aggregate reporting, frequency capping, fraud detection, security and service improvement, where such interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation — where processing is required to comply with applicable law.
5. Your rights under the GDPR
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Request erasure of your personal data ("right to be forgotten");
- Restrict or object to our processing, including profiling for direct marketing;
- Request data portability;
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal;
- Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
6. Managing and withdrawing consent
You can manage or withdraw your consent at any time through the consent controls presented on the websites and apps where our services appear. You may also opt out of interest-based advertising through industry programmes such as the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (Your Online Choices) and the Digital Advertising Alliance, or by resetting or limiting the advertising identifier in your device settings. 7. Data sharing and international transfers
We may share data with publishers, advertisers, demand- and supply-side platforms and service providers involved in delivering advertising. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above and to comply with our legal obligations, after which it is deleted or aggregated into non-identifying form.
